In previous races, Bannister had always lost to John Landy, an amazing athlete who looked like he could never be beat.

Pushing through physical, phsycolgocial, and social barriers, Bannister revealed something deep within. He was determined to do the impossible. His feat was hailed as the "Miracle Mile," and it gave strength to those around him. Once the record was broken, it was only a few months until John Landy broke it, too. But while Bannister was the first to accomplish the impossible, Landy had been filled with self-doubt and self-defeat.

Often, we, like John Landy, fill our thoughts will self-doubt. We fear we will never be good enough for what life has in store for us. We watch as other people succeed, but never believe that we can too. We tell ourselves we'll never be fast enough, smart enough, injury-free for long enough. Instead of setting our sights on our goals, we focus on our fears. We doubt our true potential.

In this life filled with opportunities to strive and achieve, we have more than just what's on the outside. While we may never win a race, nor cook a gourmet meal, perhaps not even score our dream job, each of us has potential deep within. This potential spans not only our own lives, but the lives of those around us.

So forget the social, psychological, the physical barriers. Be like Bannister. Reach deep within and uncover the truly unique talents that will benefit you and your community.

Run faster than you told yourself you could.
Cook something healthy your mother advised you should.
Help someone you never thought you would.

Reveal the Runner in You.

VO2 MAX

PRO will be volunteering at the Utah Special Olympics this year.
